We began by refining the company’s email copy to include more value-driven content, focusing on educational topics like seasonal promotions, home improvement tips, and PNW-specific paint color trends. Each email was crafted to feel less like a sales pitch and more like a conversation, encouraging readers to engage and take action.
Over the next few years, the results were remarkable. By 2024, the average open rate had climbed to 40%, reflecting a steady improvement in engagement. This sustained growth culminated in one of the most successful email campaigns to date, sent in Q2 2024.
The email, with the catchy subject line “Hue Knew? Top PNW Colors Revealed 🎨”, achieved a 36.3% open rate—well above the industry average and a significant improvement from 2020. More importantly, the email drove a 400% increase in clicks compared to the previous emails, with 128 unique clicks and 272 total clicks. The most-clicked link was for a blog post on popular exterior paint colors, followed closely by the interior paint colors post and a link to their interior promotion.
Overall, the email campaign for the most recent quarter achieved 8,833 views. What’s more, the client saw substantial engagement from these campaigns, generating 54 form submissions in one quarter alone, including estimate requests and early-bird exterior painting leads.
